Your email signature in Access Recruitment CRM may be too complex, have too many images, or images that are too large.

Additionally, another common issue arises when no email signature is set at all, leading to the error message: 'Object reference is not set to an instance of an object.'

The following steps should help to resolve the issue:

  1. Click My Actions and then click Profile.

  2. Click Mail tab.

  3. Replace the existing content of your email signature with something very simple.

  4. If the template now works as expected, start adding desired content to your email signature in small steps and re-test after each change.

  5. Once the addition that causes the error to appear is found, avoid using it in your email signature within the system.

  6. If you encounter the error 'Object reference is not set to an instance of an object', ensure that you have a basic email signature set. Navigate to My Actions ; Profile ; Mail, enter a placeholder text in the Signature field, and save the changes.

Preventive Measures for Email Signatures

  • Use web-safe fonts like Verdana, Arial, or Calibri in your signature.

  • Avoid pasting content directly from Word or Outlook; instead, paste as plain text and reformat in the editor.

  • Add images using a web URL via the Image tool rather than pasting inline.

  • Use the Send Test Email button to preview how your signature renders. If these steps do not resolve your issue, contact your internal IT team or Access Recruitment CRM support for further assistance.
