What’s new?
We have introduced two new job matching options accessible directly from the Applicant record toolbar. Consultants can now launch a Contract Job Match or Permanent Job Match search from the Search dropdown, with the relevant search form opening pre-populated with the applicant's sectors, location, job status, and attributes. On running the search, matched jobs are either added automatically to the applicant's Review List or presented through the Auto Match Options modal, where consultants can choose to add to the existing Review List, overwrite it, or review the results directly in the search results form.
How do I start using it?
Contract and Permanent Job Match from Applicant Record
We have introduced the ability to search for suitable Contract and Permanent Jobs directly from an Applicant record, allowing consultants to quickly identify and match opportunities for their applicants.
When you navigate to an Applicant record and view the toolbar, you will see a new Search dropdown option, positioned after the existing Job option. Clicking Search reveals two new options:
Contract Job Match, which opens the Contract Jobs Search form.
Permanent Job Match, which opens the Permanent Jobs Search form, and appears after Contract Job Match.
Both search forms open with key criteria pre-populated from the Applicant record, including:
Sectors, using the sectors associated with the applicant.
Job Status, defaulting to Live with the IN operator selected.
Location, using the applicant's location details with a 50 km radius.
Attributes, including Grade, Effective Date, Expiry Date, and Notes operators.
You can add or remove criteria sets as needed before running the search.
On clicking Run Search, the behaviour depends on system configuration and the permissions applied to your role. In most cases, you are either:
navigated to the Applicant's Review Lists tab, where matched jobs are displayed and the applicant is automatically added to those jobs' review lists, or
presented with an Auto Match Options modal, which allows you to choose how matched results are handled
In the Auto Match Options modal, you can select from the following options:
Add to Review List, which retains any previously added Job records and appends the new matched results.
Overwrite Review List, which replaces the existing Review List with the new matched results, with the exception of any records carrying a system-coded Review List status, which are retained.
Review Results, which navigates you directly to the relevant Jobs search results form to review the matches without updating the Review List.
📌 Note: Both the Contract Job Match and Permanent Job Match options are disabled when the ‘Add Applicants to Review List automatically on Matching’ feature toggle is enabled and the ‘Review List Applicant Create’ restriction is applied to your role.
