What’s new?
We have introduced a new permission, Permission to view all users' Notebooks, available under Options ; Accounts ; Roles, that allows users to view notebooks belonging to any user in the system rather than being limited to members of their own user group.
When the permission is enabled, the View Other Notebook picker expands to display all users in the system, excluding the logged-in user. Where the permission is not enabled, the original behaviour is preserved. Users with the View another user's Notebook restriction applied will continue to have the View Other Notebook button hidden regardless of any other permission settings.
How do I start using it?
View Any User's Notebook Regardless of Group Membership
We have introduced a new role permission that allows users to view notebooks belonging to any user in the system, removing the previous limitation that restricted notebook visibility to members of the same user group.
A new permission, Permission to view all users' Notebooks, is available under Options ; Accounts ; Roles. When this permission is enabled for a user, the View Other Notebook picker displays all users in the system rather than only those within the same user group. Users can access this from My Actions ; Notebook ; Actions ; View Other Notebook.
Where the permission is not enabled, the user picker continues to display only members of the user's own group, preserving the original behaviour.
Users with the existing View another user's Notebook restriction applied will continue to have the View Other Notebook button hidden and will be unable to access any other user's notebook.
