Availability Manager Object Diary Event Summary Cards
What's New
Consultants can now personalise their Availability Manager view by selecting which Object Diary Event Types appear as summary cards at the top of the screen.
This enhancement gives you control over the metrics that matter most to your workflow, displaying up to four custom event totals alongside the existing Total Applicants card.
Configurable Event Selection
The Availability Manager Settings modal has been expanded to include a new multi-pick list of Object Diary Event Types.
Access this through the Config Wheel > Settings option, where you'll find an alphabetically ordered list of all available event types from your Master Types configuration.
Simply select the events you want to track (up to four), and your choices will be saved as sticky settings for your user account.
The system includes validation to prevent selecting more than four events, ensuring the display remains clean and uncluttered.
Visual Design and Display
Each selected event appears as a summary card positioned to the right of the Total Applicants card, ordered alphabetically from left to right. The cards maintain a consistent design featuring:
A teal circular icon containing a Sum symbol.
Light blue-grey background (#F1F7FB) matching existing summary cards.
Event type names with automatic truncation and tooltips for longer names.
Numeric counts representing the total of that event type across all displayed applicants
Dynamic Filtering Integration
The summary card totals respond intelligently to your search and filter criteria. When you apply filters in the Search bar or adjust the date range, the counts update automatically to reflect only the filtered applicants in your current view.
Benefits
Tailored Dashboard Experience: Focus on the events most relevant to your day-to-day work rather than scrolling through the applicant list to gather totals.
Improved Decision Making: See critical event metrics at a glance, helping you make faster, more informed decisions about temporary worker availability and scheduling.
Consistent Visibility: Summary card totals remain accurate across all filtered views, giving you confidence in the numbers you're seeing regardless of which search criteria you've applied.
Foundation for Future Enhancements: This feature has been built with future functionality in mind, preparing the groundwork for clickable summary cards that will act as quick filters.
How to Access
Navigate to Temp Management ; Availability Manager.
Click the Config Wheel icon to access Settings.
Locate the new multi-pick list below the Summary Cards toggle.
Select up to four Object Diary Event Types from the alphabetically ordered list.
Click Done to save your selections.
Your chosen event summary cards will immediately appear at the top of the Availability Manager.
📌 Note: Your Summary Cards setting must be set to "Show" for the cards to be visible.

Placement Manager Total Hours Summary Card
What's New?
The Placement Manager now includes a Total Hours tile that shows the cumulative hours for all shifts across all placements currently displayed in the manager. This provides consultants with an at-a-glance view of total placed hours without needing to calculate manually.
Key Features
New Summary Tile: Located to the right of the 'Approx Weekly Margin' tile, displaying total hours with a teal hourglass icon.
Automatic Calculation: Hours are calculated as the difference between shift start and end times, displayed to 2 decimal places.
Date Range Aware: Total reflects only the placements and shifts visible in your current date range filter.
Feature Toggle Control: This enhancement is controlled via a new feature toggle 'Placement Manager Total Hours Tile' accessible in Options ; System Settings ; Feature Toggles (disabled by default).
How to Use
Navigate to Placements ; Contract Placements ; Contract/Temp Manager.
Ensure the feature toggle is enabled in Options ; System Settings ; Feature Toggles.
Ensure summary tiles are set to 'Show' via the config wheel ; Settings ; Summary Card.
View the Total Hours tile in the summary section at the top of the Placement Manager.
This enhancement helps consultants quickly assess workload capacity and placement coverage across their managed placements.
Availability Manager Single Summary Card Filtering
What's Changed
The Availability Manager now restricts filtering to a single summary card selection at a time. Previously, users could select multiple summary cards simultaneously, which could lead to complex, overlapping filters.
How It Works
Single Selection: When you click on any summary card (e.g., "Available"), only that card will be highlighted and the grid will filter to show Applicants matching that criteria.
Automatic Deselection: Clicking a different summary card will automatically deselect the previous one and update the grid to show the new filter.
Clear Filter: Clicking the same selected card again will deselect it and remove all filters, returning to an unfiltered view of all Applicants.
User Benefits
Provides a clearer, single-filtered view of Applicants without confusion from multiple overlapping filters
Simplifies the filtering experience by ensuring only one criteria is active at a time
Makes it easier to understand which filter is currently applied
