How do I start using it?

Permanent Placement Manager - Table, Actions and Excel Export

We have introduced Permanent Manager, a new screen within Placement Manager designed to give consultants running permanent placements a dedicated view of their placements in one place.

Permanent Manager is accessible from the left navigation pane by expanding the Placement Manager option, where it appears beneath Contract/Temp Manager.

The screen presents placement data in a configurable grid, with the following key features:

  • Each row includes a checkbox for selection.

  • Key fields including Applicant Name, Client Name, Job Title, Placement Description, and others are displayed as hyperlinks, opening the right summary panel for the relevant record.

  • A horizontal scroll bar is available across the column area.

Placements - Permanent Manager

  • A three-dot menu on each row provides quick access to Client Details, Applicant Details, Placement Details, and Job Details, opening the corresponding record in a window view. Where a record is not available on a placement, the relevant option is disabled.

Column filters are available on the majority of columns, with text, date, and numeric filter types presented in a modal when the filter icon is clicked.

Column Filters

The Config cog provides the following options:

  • Configure Columns, which opens the standard column configuration window with a defined set of default columns.

  • Clear Column Filters, which removes all active column filters and refreshes the grid.

  • Reset Sorting, which returns the grid to Start Date ascending order and removes all applied sorting.

  • Settings, which opens the same settings window used by Contract/Temp Manager.

Config Cog Actions

A Filter button opens the existing placement filter window, with the grid and summary card counts updating to reflect the selected filters. Summary cards displayed above the grid are calculated against the current filtered view and are view only. The following cards are shown:

  • Total Clients.

  • Total Applicants.

  • Total Placements.

  • Average Placement Fee.

  • Average Salary.

  • Average Commission %.

  • Start Check Pending.

  • Total Commission.

Summary Card Counts

We have also introduced bulk action and export capabilities for the Permanent Manager:

  • Users with the Export placement manager data permission will see an enabled Export Excel button, which downloads the current view as a file named Permanent Placement Manager.xlsx to the user's default download location. Users without this permission will see the button greyed out.

  • The Action button allows users to carry out bulk operations against one or more selected placements. When placements are selected, the action count is shown at the top of the dropdown. If no placements are selected, all options are greyed out and a message prompts the user to select at least one placement.

Action Button

Available actions are as follows:

  • Add to Saved Tag File for applicants, contacts, clients, or jobs.

  • Placement Flag Text, which opens a popup to set flag text of up to 50 characters across editable placements, with a summary message confirming how many were updated and how many could not be edited.

  • Send Email to applicants or contacts via the Batch Email wizard.

  • Batch SMS to applicants, clients, or contacts, available only where an SMS account is configured.

  • Start Check OK, which marks the start check as complete on editable placements and reports how many were updated, how many were not editable, and how many already had the value set.

  • Tag for applicants, contacts, clients, or jobs.

Actions dependent on restrictions are disabled where the relevant restriction is in place.
