Whatโs new?
New configuration has been introduced to limit the number of SMS messages a user can send per day. The limits can be set at a global level and further refined for individual users.
How do I start using it?
Global SMS Limit Configuration
Users with administration access can navigate to Options ; System Settings ; System Owner ; Global Settings where a new field of User Daily SMS is available.
This field will hold the default limit for all users who can send SMS messages across Access Recruitment CRM e.g. in the example above, a global limit of 100 will be the default value for each individual user. This can be further refined at the user level, by overriding the global limit applied (see user limits below).
If a global limit is not required i.e. there is no limit to the number of SMSs users can send, leave this field as blank.
A numeric, non-decimal value can be entered in the range of 0 to 99999.
An information tip next to the field shows the following advisory text:
User Level SMS Limit Configuration
Users with administration access can further navigate to Options ; Accounts ; Users ; User SMS Limits tab where additional override and SMS usage fields are shown at the user level.
The Daily SMS Allowance field will hold the default SMS limit for the focused user.
This figure will override the global value and can be the same, higher or lower than the global default.
If a limit is not entered in this field, then the global limit will be assumed.
A numeric, non-decimal value in the range of 0 to 99999 can be entered.

Field SMS Sent Today is a record of the number of SMS messages sent today by this user. This figure is used in unison with the number of messages is trying to send at a given moment, and is compared to the user or global level value (whichever is in force), to provide appropriate notification messages (see below)
Field SMS Sent This Calendar Month is a running tally of messages sent for the current month.
Use SMS Limit/Usage Notifications
SMS messages can be sent via the single send SMS form and the Batch SMS wizard, from several areas within Access Recruitment CRM.
A new warning message will be shown during the process of sending an SMS message if the global or user level limit will be exceeded. The user will be prevented from sending the message and this provides an opportunity to reduce the number of messages before sending.
