What’s new?
The new Business Growth functionality replaces the existing 'Business Development' functionality, which has also been renamed to 'Canvassing' to separate the two areas.
How do I start using it?
Feature Toggles
Each functional area can be enabled or disabled separately by an administrator with access to Options ; System Settings ; Feature Toggles.
If either feature toggle is disabled, that functional area will be hidden in the CRM menus.
Business Growth - List of Values
Users with administrator access to Options ; Manager ; Look Ups ; List of Values will see 'List Names' and default 'List of Values' for the Business Growth functionality:
Sales Pipelines
Industry Type
Cross Sell/Up Sell
Lead Score
Business Risk Factor
Key Competitor
Peak Periods
Each 'List of Values' will be pre-loaded with a default set of values. These were discussed and created with the help from client feedback and review sessions for the business development/growth processes.
Each list can be maintained in the normal way by adding new, updating or deleting as needed to tailor your business flows.
Each list can also be ordered as needed using the new 'Position' field. A number value can be assigned to adjust how a list is ordered (by 'position', followed by 'description' alphabetically). This ordering is used when a list is used by a lookup field.
Client Business Growth Tab
If the Business Growth' feature toggle is enabled by an administrator, the Business Growth functionality will be available throughout the CRM.
Navigating to a client record and clicking the 'More' tab will offer a new tab of Business Growth.
This tab reveals the fields that can be populated for prospective clients and for their journey to becoming active clients.
The fields can also be used as an on-going source of vital information.
Towards the top of the page is a 'tape' of circles (like the Applicant’s Action screen) which lists the Sales Pipelines stages (ordered by 'position', followed by 'description' alphabetically).
Each Sales Pipeline is represented by a circle. The current Sales Pipelines for this client is colour coded in purple/mauve.
The Sales Pipeline for the client can be progressed forwards or backwards by clicking the required Sales Pipeline circle. Doing so, will display a conformation message prior to the new setting being actioned.
The 'tape control' will hidden while the client form is processed in 'edit' mode.
The current Sales Pipeline value for a client is also visible in the banner at the top of the form for easy access to this information.

An administrator user with access to Options ; System Settings ; Feature Toggles will see a new feature toggle 'Canvassing', which can be disabled/enabled as needed to ensure the business functions are visible and used as required by the company.
