Search Improvements - Release Notes - FY26 Q1

Now when you search for Clients or Contacts, results display directly in the main form with full functionality immediately available.

Client Search Results

What's Changed:

  • Direct Integration: On click Search ; Clients and running the Search, Client search results now open in the main Client form.

  • Full Functionality: All Client form features available immediately from search results.

  • No More Switching: Work directly with search results - no need to navigate elsewhere.


Interface Features:

Clear Search Context

  • Search Results indicator: Always know when you're viewing search results. There is a Search Results pill that appears with X button to indicate you are viewing search results.

  • Easy Exit: Click the X to return to normal Client browsing.

  • Preserved Settings: Your filters and view preferences are maintained.

Streamlined Toolbar

  • Focused Interface: Filter and New buttons hidden during search to reduce clutter.

  • Context-Aware: Only relevant actions displayed for search workflow.


Enhanced Client Actions

Reorganized Toolbar Structure

New 'Tag' Dropdown:

  • Dedicated Tag Actions: All tagging features grouped in one convenient location.

  • Moved Actions:

    • Tag โ†’ Tag dropdown.

    • Add to Saved Tag File โ†’ Tag dropdown.

New 'Send' Dropdown:

  • Communication Hub: All sending actions organized together.

  • Available Options:

    • Send SMS.

    • Send Batch SMS.

    • Send Mailshot.

New 'Attributes' Dropdown (Search Results Only):

  • Bulk Operations: Efficiently manage client attributes.

  • Available Options:

    • Add Attributes to All.

    • Add Attributes to Selected.

    • Remove Attributes from All.

    • Remove Attributes from Selected.

Search-Specific Actions:

When viewing search results, additional options become available:

  • Remove from Results: Under Action button dropdown. It can be used to clean up your search results as you work.

  • Add All Results to Saved Tag File: Bulk tag management.

  • Tag All Results: Tags entire result set.


Enhanced Table View

New Column Options

Configure your Client table view with additional columns:

  • Client Id (renamed from "Client" for clarity).

  • Country (from latest address).

  • County (from latest address).

  • Source (from Details tab).

  • Notes (from Notes tab).


Contact Search

What's Changed:

  • Direct Integration: On click Search ; Clients and running the Search, Contact search results now open in the main Contact form.

  • Complete Access: All Contact form functionality available immediately.

  • Seamless Workflow: Work with search results without switching screens.


Getting Started

For Current Users

  1. Search as usual: Use your normal search process.

  2. Notice the unified interface: Results now appear in the main form.

  3. Explore new dropdowns: Check out Tag, Send, and Attributes options.

  4. Use search-specific features: Take advantage of bulk operations.


Key Navigation Tips

  • Look for the 'Search Results' indicator to know when you're in search mode.

  • Click the X to return to normal form browsing.

  • Use new dropdown menus for organized access to actions.

  • Explore table view columns for enhanced data visibility.
